Our story

Our Time was founded in 2020 by two friends, and chefs, searching for a better solution to the local share kitchen.

It is almost impossible to make a profit on food as an underfunded small business. It is even more challenging to make a profit when the money you gross has to go towards the high cost of kitchen space and event fees. We are proposing a kitchen built for us, by us that will work to eliminate these barriers and allow more businesses to hold more profit and as a result create the opportunity to grow and flourish.

We are not inventing anything new, we are reimagining existing parts and transforming them into something that works for us, by us.

Who We Are

We are a collaborative team that was built out of communal resilience and years spent sharing tips and tricks of how to survive behind the scenes in Baltimore’s food system.

You may know us by our individual projects; Chef Cat the founder of Just Call Me Chef and Chef Kiah the owner of Wilde Thyme.

We have first hand experience in starting businesses with limited resources and our goal is to create a hub for collective equity building, transparently sharing the steps required to build successful businesses, and creating new forms of accessibility based on that experience.
